Orthodontics for Little Smiles
Just because a child still has primary teeth, doesn’t mean they’re too young to see an orthodontist. In fact, it’s the best time for early interventional orthodontic treatment. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends kids have their first orthodontic evaluation at age seven. In most cases, Dr. Tabakman, Dr. Bloome or Dr. Khan will simply keep tabs on how your child’s teeth and jaws are developing. They’ll continue to schedule your little one for complimentary growth and development checkups over the years and let you know when the time is right to start treatment. However, if early intervention is needed, correcting problems while a child is still growing can prevent the need for surgery, extractions or complicated treatment down the road. To ensure your child’s smile stays on track, book a free consultation online or by calling us at (713) 667-6000 (Bellaire) or (281) 752-4222 (West Houston).
