Dr. Melissa Wadler-Bloome came to value the importance of a healthy smile at a young age. She started observing and assisting in her father’s orthodontic practice when she was barely in her teens. Since then, her goal has been to help people in her community improve their dental health and self-confidence. As a Houston and Bellaire orthodontist, she treats each and every one of her patients with kindness and respect and strives to provide the highest quality of care.

Dr. Wadler-Bloome values her community. It’s her home and where she and her husband raise their children. That’s why she works hard to give her time and support to a number of organizations on a local and national scale, including:

Outside of the Office
When Dr. Wadler-Bloome isn’t perfecting smiles at Houston Orthodontic Specialists, she and her husband, Dr. David Bloome, enjoy spending time with their children, Jackson, Ashley and Connor. Jackson plays football and baseball and Ashley is involved in dancing and tennis. Connor is going to follow in his brother’s footsteps and become an athlete too! Whatever big brother is doing, little brother wants to do as well. The family also loves outdoor activities like swimming and going to the park.
Dr. Wadler-Bloome is a 1992 graduate of Kinkaid School and graduated from Emory University in 1996 as a Phi Beta Kappa, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. From there, she returned to Houston to attend the University of Texas Dental Branch where she graduated second in her class. Dr. Wadler-Bloome practiced general dentistry in New Mexico before entering a residency program and obtaining her master’s degree in orthodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.
Now, Dr. Wadler-Bloome stays up-to-date with new technology and advancements in orthodontics by being an active member of numerous industry associations. She engages in continuing education and through her professional affiliations, grows her circle of associates within her field.
