What to Expect at Your Consultation
We know choosing an orthodontist to change your child’s smile – or your own – is a big decision. To ensure you feel fully informed and confident about moving forward with Houston Orthodontic Specialists, we offer free consultations. This initial visit, which takes about an hour, gives you a chance to check out our office, get to know the team, learn about your treatment options and have your questions answered.

A Warm Welcome
Our friendly team members will greet you with smiles and you’ll feel comfortable as soon as you walk in our door. We keep wait times to a minimum but if you arrive early, have a seat in our soothing reception area and unwind for a few moments. When it’s time to get started, we’ll show you around and then take you back to our modern treatment area.

Complimentary Diagnostic Records
Once you’re settled, a team member will take low-dose, digital x-rays and photos of your smile free of charge. Dr. Tabakman, Dr. Bloome or Dr. Mount will also complete a thorough orthodontic exam. Your orthodontist will use these findings to develop an accurate diagnosis and create a personalized orthodontic treatment plan just for you.

Chat With the Doctor
Your orthodontist will sit down with you and your family and discuss the diagnosis and the treatment options that will bring out the best in your smile. They’ll walk you through their plan and answer any questions you have. A team member will go over logistics such as the cost of treatment, your insurance coverage and our payment plans to ensure your smile makeover will work for your budget.

Start Treatment
We know you’re busy and to save you from having to make another trip to our office, we offer same-day braces. If you’re ready to jump right in, you can begin your treatment immediately after your consultation! For Invisalign®, we’ll take a 3D digital impression of your teeth to get started on creating your aligners. You’ll leave our office knowing that you are receiving the amazing care you deserve.
